Phillip Jolicoeur
Candidate for Peterborough City Council Ward 5 Northcrest
Let's Talk About Your Peterborough.
I am running to bring preparation, honesty, calm leadership, and a strong Northcrest voice to City Hall.
Not my Peterborough.
Not City Hall's Peterborough.
Your Peterborough.
This campaign should not begin with me handing you a finished list of answers and asking you to agree. It should begin with a conversation about what is working, what is not, and what kind of city we want to leave to the people who come after us.
I am not running because I believe one councillor can fix everything. Municipal government works through votes, budgets, professional staff, community partners, and other levels of government. I will not make promises that are beyond the authority of one councillor or beyond the City's ability to deliver.
What I can promise is preparation. I can promise honesty. I will show up, ask difficult questions, listen carefully, explain my decisions, and keep working with people even when we disagree.
I do not see Peterborough as a problem to manage. I see a community worth serving.
What You Can Expect From Me:
I will show up.
I will do the homework.
I will ask difficult questions.
I will listen carefully.
I will explain my decisions.
I will tell you what I know and what I do not know.
I will keep working with people even when we disagree.
Five Priorities.
Clear Commitments.
Safer neighbourhoods. Thoughtful growth. Safe and reliable transportation. A more complete response to housing, homelessness, addiction, and mental health. Responsible spending and honest accountability.
